Uses
A modular and coherent lighting system for urban and suburban roads. One product with several versions and identical maintenance.

Description
Luminaire body

The body is made of two aluminium parts under pressure.
It is insensitive to ultraviolet rays, is shock resistant and has a good heat flow.
The upper cover houses the rail patented by 3E international, N 1150068.
This rail enables the electrical and mechanical connexion between the luminaire and the interface support pieces.
A heat resistant shield inside the housing separates the electrical fittings from the optical unit.

Optical System

The optical unit is mounted on a silicone gasket and is composed of a reflector, a lamp socket case and a pressed glass bowl.
The optical unit is fixed to the lower lamp cover.

The reflector is made of a single piece of hydro-formed, shiny and anodised aluminium. The bowl is inter-changeable, of pressed glass and heat treated. Its rounded shape guarantees minimum glare at all times.

The socket case enables the lamp to be re-set horizontally and vertically.

Mounting and Installation

Maintenance
Access to all internal fittings requires no tools.

Opening and closing:

Opening and closing is via a clip on the front of the light.
The operation is in two steps : unlocking then opening of the lower cover.
The two covers are on a hinge at the back of the light.
The open cover is kept in place by a stainless steel rest.
The opening angle is 50.

Access to lamp and fittings:

Access to the lamp is from the underside, after a 1/4 turn opening of the socket support case.
No changes in settings are required when the lamp is changed.
The electrical fittings are all assembled on a tray under the upper cover. The tray is detachable (no tools required) by undoing two slip straps by hand.

Electrical connexion is via a quick connector with safety plug and socket.

Photometrics

The road optic 3eR
This optic has been developed to obtain an optimium amount of light, a uniformity of light as well as a visual comfort. This system also attempts to limit the cost of installing and running public lighting.
The optimal application of this light fitting is when l /h = 1.

The photometric settings enable all types of roads and passageways to be uniformly lighted with spacing up to 4 times the height of the lamp e/h = 4.

("e" represents the space between lamp supports, "h" is the height of the lamp and "l" is the width of the road surface).

The urban optic 3eU
For a given road width, the urban optic enables lamp height to be reduced by 30% compared to a standard lighting system.Depending on the characteristics of the urban environment - road width, traffic density, building height etc. - this optic is the answer to problems of harmony when trying to blend the lighting system into the surroundings. It offers lighting solutions on a human scale by improved structuring of the space available.

The performances of this optic are excellent for widths up to 1.5 times the height (l/h = 1.5).
Spacing can be as much as 3.5 times the height  (e/h =3.5).
